The 2016 390th Anniversary Riesling is a new wine in our collection, which was produced only once in 2016, for the 390th anniversary of the House, created in 1626. A treat of a bomb to discover before it runs out!
Pinot Gris Réserve Personnelle
In exceptional years, a selection of our best plots (including the Grand Cru Osterberg) makes it possible to produce a wine of greater maturity and opulent richness. Its long development is synonymous with great aging.

Gewurztraminer Seigneurs de Ribeaupierre
The predominantly Keuper marl-limestone soils on which it is produced give this rare wine a full and powerful style.

Made from old vines from the former wine estate of the Lords of Ribeaupierre, the grapes are selected and harvested at full maturity.

It is a wine with aromas of flowers and spices with a dry character, but so rich and so fruity that it seems to touch the sweetness… which is only illusory.

This great wine is only produced in the best years.

Pairings : foie gras, spicy and aromatic cuisine, desserts made with fresh fruit, etc.

Riesling 390th Anniversary 2016
Wine from a selection of plots in the colors of the mosaic of Alsace terroirs.

A tribute to the talented winegrowers who have followed us for decades and who share the same passion for exceptional Riesling. From North to South, these Grands Terroirs and renowned localities sparkled in 2016, the 390th anniversary of Maison Trimbach 1626-2016.

Golden color with sparkling green reflections. It delicately reveals its bouquet of ripe, expensive white fruit and its aromas of flowers. Gourmet and seductive on the first palate, its pearl and crystalline acidity gives it aromatic precision as well as superb length. This dry Riesling is in line with the great Riesling of the 2016 vintage.

Ageing potential : 10-15 years.
Riesling & Grands Crus Collection
Our Riesling Frédéric Emile, our signature, our Riesling Grands Crus, marketed for the first time in 2015, and the jewel of Maison Trimbach, the Riesling Clos Ste Hune.
Riesling Frédéric Emile
Exposed south and south-east, the Grands Crus Geisberg and Osterberg terroirs of Ribeauvillé which overlook the estate have given birth to this wine for several generations.
The average age of the vines, around 45 years, offers limited yields.
The marl-limestone-sandstone and shell limestone composition of the terroir (Muschelkalk), as well as the well-ripened grapes strictly selected by hand, give this wine a remarkable personality: a dry and powerful Riesling, underlined by a mineral note and with finely chopped acidity.
Prestigious signature of the house, the Frédéric Emile, often nicknamed FE or Freddie, is sought after by connoisseurs and collectors.
Pairings : great gastronomy, noble fish, caviar, fine white meats.
Aging potential : the great vintages of Frédéric Emile mature for twenty years or more.
Riesling Grand Cru Mandelberg
Formerly produced under the name Cuvée M, this wine is now called Grand Cru Mandelberg since the 2016 vintage.

It has always come from the Grand Cru Mandelberg in Mittelwihr, on our hectare of old vines over 60 years old with limestone and stony soil, in particular rolled pebbles, as well as marl-limestone.

Early soil, hot, very sloping, little soil and facing South-SE.

One of the only 3 Grands Crus of Alsace not to be leaned against the sub-Vosges hills, with less shade and freshness coming from the valley and the forest.

Ageing potential : 10-15 years.
Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg
In 2012, our family acquired 1.6 hectares in this renowned Grand Cru.
We produced our first vintage in 2014 (marketed in 2017), in line with the pure and crystalline Riesling typical of that year.

It is the beginning of a collection of Riesling Grands Crus Trimbach, alongside the estate's jewels, Frédéric Emile and Clos Ste Hune. The Grand Cru Schlossberg is a granite terroir. Granite from Thannenkirch and migmatite granite (granite and gneiss) from Kaysersberg.

Planted in 2 or 3-row south facing horizontal terraces and located next to the castle, this vineyard is ideal for Riesling.
This Riesling with a beautiful vertical structure is dry, delicate, chiseled and can be aged for at least 10 years or more ...

It is a very limited production, almost confidential ...

Ageing potential : 10-15 years.
Riesling Grand Cru Geisberg
The Couvent de Ribeauvillé entrusted us with its vineyard a few years ago. In 2009, we produced our first Grand Cru Geisberg from the 2.66 ha of the Vignoble du Couvent and we marketed it in 2015. It is the first Grand Cru Trimbach which bears its name on the label.

Pierre Trimbach and his team have been working on the Grand Cru Geisberg, blended in the “Frédéric Emile” (Geisberg and Osterberg located behind the estate), for many years. Their knowledge of this terroir has enabled them to produce a great wine.

The Geisberg is a jewel of Alsace: located between two other grands crus on the geological fault of Ribeauvillé, its limestone and sandstone subsoil, its old vines, its southern exposure and its small steep-sloping terraces make it a unique and complex terroirof only 8.5 ha: it is one of the smallest Alsace Grand Crus. The resulting Riesling is of great intensity and good energy, with finesse. A gastronomic wine suitable for long aging, between 10 to 30 years in excellent vintages.

It is the first wine from Grand Cru that we named by the name of its terroir, following the wish expressed by the Sisters of the Convent and the new legislation which came into force in 2001 and then in 2011 which reinforce the quality charter of the Grands Crus d'Alsace (control of maximum yields (55hl / ha), minimum alcohol potential at harvest (11.5 °), chaptalization prohibited, then specifications specific to each Grand Cru, etc ...)

Ageing potential : 15 years and over.
Riesling Clos Sainte Hune
An exceptional terroir on the Grand Cru Rosacker in Hunawihr, this Clos which has belonged to the Trimbach family for more than two hundred years covers 1.67 hectares.
The more than fifty-year-old vineyard benefits from a south, south-east exposure on a subsoil dominated by Muschelkalk limestone (or shell limestone) and yellow limestone.
Conditions which give this Riesling a specific fragrance and a remarkable concentration of fruit enhanced with a refined hint of minerality at the end of the palate and an incredible length ... the signs of recognition so typical of Clos Ste Hune after a few years of aging.

The small annual production, 7000 bottles on average, makes it a precious wine coveted by all lovers and collectors of Riesling over the world.
The Clos Sainte Hune, with an exceptional aging potential, does not reach its peak until eight to ten years following its bottling.
"The sensation that dominates is the minerality ..."
Serge Dubs, Best Sommelier of the World 1989

“If there is one Riesling in the world that every wine lover dreams of tasting and savoring, it is Clos Sainte Hune.
High class dry wine, racy, refined, elegant, with very ripe fruit and a very pronounced minerality give it its unique character.
It has a signature of its own that is transcendent in great vintages. It is a wine that inspires dreams with its harmony and its exceptional capacity for aging.”
Ageing potential : exceptional.
Our Vendanges Tardives & Sélection de Grains Nobles
Pinot Gris Vendanges Tardives
Pinot Gris Vendanges Tardives are only produced in the great years.
To produce it, you need a minimum of 16 ° potential for the harvest.
The grapes are harvested by hand and pressed in pneumatic presses. The juice flows directly by gravity to the cellar where it is decanted before fermentation begins. This will last about three weeks and more.
Fermentation stops naturally to keep this residual sugar which will balance this late harvest.
Bottling is done in the spring following the harvest. The wine then matures in the bottle for a few years before being put on sale.
